There are almost 70 known species, all of which have their own attractive qualities appealing to growers, but many species are rare in the wild. Recent evidence has been synthesized to produce a modern classification of the genus. Chapters on the hybridization, cultivation (by Michael Tibbes), and conservation are also included. This treatment is a framework for future research as well as a sound guide to growers of these endlessly fascinating orchids.” (Cribb)

Bibliographic Details

Title: The Genus Paphiopedilum (Second Edition 1998)

Publisher: Natural History Publications (Borneo), Kota Kinabalu In associating with Kew

Publication Date: 1998

Binding: Cloth

Book Condition: Brand New, cellophane wrapped

Price: COS Donation of at least $200

If you are interested please reach out to ctorchidsociety@gmail.com

Cribb, Phillip. “Abebooks.” By Cribb, Phillip: Very Good Cloth (1998) | Mike Park Ltd, Natural History Publications (Borneo), Kinabalu & Kew, 1 Jan. 1998, https://www.abebooks.com/signed/Genus-Paphiopedilum-Second-Edition-1998-Cribb/22507465884/bd.

COS Paphiopedilum book Description

The Genus Paphiopedilum (Second Edition 1998) By Phillip Cribb This is a second edition, now out of print.
