On June 23rd at 11am The Connecticut Orchid Society is Touring the UConn Greenhouses<\/p>\n
The University of Connecticut will be<\/p>\n
hosting members of the COS for a private<\/p>\n
tour of the University greenhouses. The<\/p>\n
tour will start at 11 AM at the Torrey Life<\/p>\n
Sciences Building on the UConn campus in<\/p>\n
Storrs. The Society has developed a close<\/p>\n
relationship with the University of<\/p>\n
Connecticut over the years and is<\/p>\n
privileged to be offered this private tour.<\/p>\n
The UConn greenhouses contain a diverse<\/p>\n
and well regarded orchid collection<\/p>\n
focused on species as well as a diverse<\/p>\n
collection of non-orchids.<\/p>\n

Directions to UConn Greenhouses<\/p>\n
We will be met at the North Parking Garage and<\/p>\n
walk from there. Parking in the ground lot just<\/p>\n
beyond the garage is also acceptable, because<\/p>\n
they don’t enforce parking on weekends.<\/p>\n
Coming in from Rt 44, take the Discovery Drive<\/p>\n
entrance to campus, which is just west of the<\/p>\n
intersection of 195. Follow Discovery Drive to<\/p>\n
the light. Proceed straight across: visitors center<\/p>\n
is to the right, parking garage is to the left. The<\/p>\n
ground lot is on right just past visitor’s center.<\/p>\n
